Meena Jacob

As Vice President for Real Estate Development, Meena oversees development projects from acquisition to completion and lease‐up, including financial analysis, design and construction, and transfer of the project to the property management function.

She has led POAH’s transformation & redevelopment of the Whittier Street Apartments public housing site in Boston, MA. This neighborhood revitalization is a complex undertaking, involving 3 distinct phases. She drove Phase 1’s financial closing, coordinated construction, and managed the successful lease-up with POAH Communities.  She also led the planning of Phase 2, through financial closing and commencement of construction.  At the same time, Meena has completed pre-development activities, financial closing, and started construction for Phase 3, POAH's first ever ground up high-rise building.

She has a Master of Arts in Urban and Environmental Policy and Planning from Tufts University and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and African American Studies from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. She is active in POAH’s Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Working group, leading the Hiring and Onboarding Subcommittee.
