Grant funding that was awarded to the now-defunct original developer of the Terrapin Ridge affordable housing project in South Sandwich will be transferred to its new developer.
The town appropriated funding more than a decade ago for the construction of 30 units in the development off Quaker Meetinghouse Road, adjacent to the George Fernandes Way apartments.
More than $2 million was awarded by the community preservation committee for feasibility studies and construction.
