Shawn Burgess is POAH’s Asset Manager responsible for a portfolio of properties and providing financial and business analysis support to the Asset Management team. He has more than eight years of experience in finance, budgeting, accounting, auditing and real estate brokerage including as principal broker and owner of the Burgess Realty Group where he managed sales, accounting, legal and human resources.

He served as diversity administrator at the Massachusetts Port Authority; as sales manager for TDC Systems Integration, Inc. in Atlanta; as a financial analyst at Instrumentation Laboratory in Lexington, MA; as a regional auditor for Fresenius Medical Care in Braintree; and as staff auditor in the Medicare Audit & Reimbursement Department for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts.

He is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts at Amherst where he majored in finance with a minor in economics. In 2009, he became a certified mediator while working with Cambridge Family and Children Services.
