Jo-Ann Barbour
Ms. Barbour is POAH's Manager of Resident Services, responsible for the direction and oversight of the organization's resident asset building and community engagement initiatives. Working closely with Preservation Housing Management (PHM), POAH's property management company, Ms. Barbour guides our efforts with respect to resident growth, resilience, self-determination and community engagement. Ms. Barbour is a Licensed, Independent, Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) with over thirty years of experience in the field of human services. She has worked in a number of community-based non-profit and public sector organizations specializing in community-based services for diverse populations. Prior to joining POAH, Ms. Barbour worked as a consultant and trainer to regional and national real estate firms and community service providers in the development and implementation of resident service programs. Before establishing her consulting practice, she spent 14 years working at The Community Builders as a Resident Service Manager and Senior Portfolio Director. Ms. Barbour received her Master's degree in Social Work at Boston University School of Social Work, and a Bachelor's degree from Utica College of Syracuse University. |
