As POAH’s Acquisitions Manager, Geoffrey Moen assists the acquisitions group with its analysis and review of rental housing acquisition opportunities, transaction structuring, negotiation, acquisition prospecting, and relationship building.
Prior to coming to POAH, Geoffrey served as a Summer Associate at L+M Development Partners in New York, where he assisted the firm’s preservation team with the acquisition and rehabilitation of affordable housing developments. Previously, Geoff was a Mayoral Fellow, city planner, senior city planner and eventually principal city planner in New Orleans, Louisiana where he was responsible for the review and approval of multiple major development projects, including several large affordable housing projects and public housing redevelopments. He also managed the preparation of the city’s capital improvement plan and assisted in the development of its Master Plan and Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance.
Geoffrey holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Minnesota, a master’s in urban planning from the University of Illinois at Chicago, and a Master in Public Policy, with a focus on public finance and real estate, from Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government.
