David Stanley
Mr. Stanley served as Chairman of the Board of Preservation of Affordable Housing from its founding until September 2007, and remains as a valued Director of the organization. To honor his service and dedication, POAH named the David Stanley Community Center at Hawthorne Place Apartments in Independence, Missouri in a ceremony at the property.
Retired after 15 years as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Kansas City-based Payless Cashways, Inc., Mr. Stanley served as a director of the Harry S. Truman Library Institute, the National Equity Fund (NEF), LISC, the Local Initiatives Support Corporation, the Corporation for Supportive Housing, Digi International Inc., and a number of other business and civic boards. He is a graduate of Columbia University School of Law.
