Overview
Meadowbrook Apartments, located in the Florence neighborhood of Northampton, includes 29 buildings nestled among 27 acres of wooded landscape. The property was built in the mid-1970's, and renovated in 2005, including tightening of the building envelope, installation of new energy-efficient windows, upgrades to the community building, including handicapped accessibility, and wiring for high-speed internet access in each apartment. The 252 Meadowbrook apartments feature substantial parking for each building, as well as laundry facilities and some washer-dryer hook-ups. There are several children's play areas, and a in-ground swimming pool (open seasonally). Town bus service stops at several locations in the development, providing access to downtown Northampton. Professional on-site management, and emergency 24-hour response, is provided by Preservation Housing Management (PHM).
