Overview
Dom Narodowy Polski Apartments is also known in Chicopee as The Polish Homes. The property includes two attached brick buidlings with elevators located in downtown Chicopee. The original building dates to 1910; a new construction building adjoins. Both a police substation and the city's Polish American Club are also located on site, with separate entrances. Building services include a secure lobby, a laundry, community room, computer center and sitting area. A landscaped interior courtyard with gazebo offers outdoor respite in warmer weather. An on-site Resident Services Coordinator assists tenants with access to medical and social assistance as well as recreational programming. Rent subsidies are provided to all tenants with qualifying incomes, and heat and hot water costs are included in the rent. Professional on-site management, with 24-hour emergency response, is provided by Preservation Housing Management. |
