POAH and other strong, sustainable national nonprofits in 2003 formed Stewards of Affordable Housing for the Future (SAHF), a consortium focused on enabling the members to make a bigger difference in the preservation field. SAHF's members own and operate housing in 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands - providing homes to approximately 90,000 low-income households across the country.
